Evaluating malting barley varieties for Michigan growers, brewers

Researchers at the Upper Peninsula Research and Extension Center are evaluating malting barley varieties for yield, strength of stalk and malt quality for farmers interested in growing the crop, and for Michigan brewers who hope to locally source it.
