MSU Tollgate Farm Stewards Teen Leadership Program provides a safe place for social, emotional, and physical growth. The Stewards Teen Leadership Program looks forward to hosting the 2026 Stewards and Stewards-in-Training for grades 7-12.

Registration is Opening January 15, 2026!
Tollgate Farm's Steward Teen Leadership Program is a volunteer opportunity for teens entering grades 7-12 looking to learn and grow their leadership and communication skills concurrently with Tollgate's Summer Farm Camp! Teens are welcome to join the Tollgate Steward Team at any experience level-- there is no experience necessary.
Steward-in-Training Program (Entering Grades 7-9): Is your teen ready to build leadership skills? Send them to Tollgate Farm this summer, where they’ll work in a progressive program all about personal growth! Teens will interact with younger campers and experienced Stewards to learn the steps in becoming a good leader, while still enjoying the fun and excitement of Tollgate Summer Farm Camp’s activities!
Steward-in-Training Leadership Program: Weekly Sessions from June 15 - August 28, 2026
8:30 AM - 4:15 PM
- 8:30 AM- 4:15 PM, Monday-Friday
- Grades 7-9
- $200 per week
Steward Program (Entering Grades 10-12): High School students can take the next steps in leadership by volunteering at Tollgate Farm! Stewards guide campers, collaborate with peers, and assist our educational staff. This final stage in Tollgate’s progressive leadership program showcases Stewards as leaders who are proactive, interactive, and creative problem solvers. No previous Farm Camp experience required.

- 1st time Stewards must complete a 20-minute virtual interview

MSU Tollgate Farm Camps are a program of Michigan 4-H. Enrollment at 4-H Online is required for your child to be a part of the Stewards Teen Leadership Program.

4-H is a learn-by-doing, fun, educational program, helping youth in their growth and development and compliments experiences received at home, school and other organizations. As a member of 4-H, there are many other opportunities to get your youngster involved, including approximately 50 4-H clubs in Oakland County where members work with a large variety of project areas, including agriculture, aerospace, community service, horses, science and technology, and more.
