Using the Michigan Cabbage Cost of Production Study
MSU Extension is holding a webinar to assist in applying the results to your farm’s numbers.
Are you a cabbage grower, or wondering what average costs are for Michigan growers? Join Michigan State University Extension at 12 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026, for a 1-hour review of the Michigan Cabbage Cost of Production study conducted recently by MSU Extension.
During the webinar, we will cover the main results of the study and review the planting, production and harvest costs found for cabbage production in Michigan. We will look at assessments of both fresh and processor-oriented production.
We will explain how to use the tables to assess breakeven prices and per pound per box costs for different yields. We will also present on applying the study’s results to your specific farm’s numbers.
This webinar is part of the Farm Policy and Risk Management series.
This webinar will be recorded and put up on the MSU Extension website afterwards so that it can be accessed anytime.
