View all Strength Training Basics VideosTo perform a modified push up, start with your hands about shoulder width apart on the floor and your weight in your knees. You want your back, butt, and legs all to be in a straight line. With your core nice and tight, bend your elbows and lower yourself to the floor as far as you comfortably can, pausing slightly at the bottom before returning to the top. Making sure again that your core is nice and tight and your chest is up during the movement.
