MSU Extension Tollgate Farm and Education Center

At Tollgate Farm, our sustainable agriculture team works to strengthen Michigan’s community food systems by bringing people together around fresh and local food. We believe learning is most powerful when it’s rooted in place, and our fields serve as a welcoming space where neighbors, families, volunteers, and visitors can connect with each other around this shared value. 

Alongside operating a small Community Supported Agriculture program (CSA), we host a variety of community‑focused programs right in the fields from hands‑on workshops to seasonal u‑pick flower events that invite everyone to slow down, explore, and enjoy time outdoors. We also encourage anyone interested in gaining more experience in small‑scale vegetable production to volunteer with our team. Whether you’re here to learn new skills, spend time outside, or simply be part of a supportive farm community, there’s a place for you at Tollgate.
