EmailIt is normal for evergreens to lose their interior needles in the fall. Loss tends to be more pronounced during years with dry weather. It is not normal for needles to drop from the current year’s growth, or to drop in the spring or summer. Check for another cause such as salt injury, a disease problem, frost, or drought if this occurs.
