Jill Connin
Jill Connin is the Michigan State University Extension 4-H Online Data Systems Coordinator. She has served in this role since 2026.
In her role as the 4-H Online Data Systems Coordinator, Jill serves as the primary contact for all system-related inquiries and leads efforts to enhance the platform to meet the evolving needs of Michigan 4-H Youth Development.
Previous to this role, Jill was the 4-H Program Coordinator in Schoolcraft County from 2016-2025. Her time in this role included reopening the Schoolcraft County MSU Extension Office and growing the county 4-H program to be one of the largest in the Upper Peninsula. She spent 7 years in a split role providing SNAP-Education in classroom settings and 2.5 years split providing financial literacy education to youth in classrooms and community settings.
Jill grew up in her county's 4-H program, starting with one bunny and expanding her projects to include rabbits, market chickens, market turkeys, market hogs, dairy goats, public speaking, crafts, civic engagement and several leadership roles in her club and county program.
Before joining MSU Extension in 2016, Jill attended Northern Michigan University (Go 'CATS!) where she worked as a student assistant to the manager of Public Radio 90 and was an active member of the Pride of the North Marching Band. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Music. Jill spent a number of years substitute teaching and being the chief home officer until the family settled in Manistique and was hired for the newly reopened MSU Extension office. In 2019, she earned her Master of Arts degree in Family and Community Services from MSU through the Great Plains IDEA program.
