MSU Undergraduate Student's research poster on Salmonella survival on Chocolate Coated Dried Fruits and Nuts Wins First Place

Andrew Kearney studied the survival of Salmonella on chocolate coated dried nuts and fruits.

Kearney submitted his poster on this research to the International Association for Food Protection's Undergraduate Research Competition, where Kearney's project won first place. Posters were submitted for an initial evaluation and ten finalists were selected. The finalists were judged at the IAFP Annual Meeting and first and second places were awarded at the Awards Banquet on August 3.
