EAST LANSING, Michigan – Each year, Michigan State University’s Institute of Agricultural Technology (MSU IAT) recognizes an individual from Michigan’s agriculture and natural resources community whose partnership and service have made a lasting impact on IAT students and programs.
The 2026 Honorary IAT Certificate is awarded to Mr. Will Bristol of Nutrien Ag Solutions in recognition of his dedication to applied learning, workforce development, and industry collaboration. Bristol has been a strong advocate for hands-on education, supporting student internships, industry experiences, and partnerships that connect IAT coursework to the realities of modern crop production and agronomy.
Bristol serves as a Precision Agriculture Lead and Sales Representative for the Michigan Division of Nutrien Ag Solutions. A fifth-generation fruit grower, he has been actively engaged in Michigan agriculture throughout his career. His leadership experience includes serving as President of the Michigan State Horticulture Society, and in 2019 he was named to the Fruit and Vegetable Growers News “40 Under 40” class.
Although Bristol was unable to attend today’s ceremony, the Institute of Agricultural Technology is grateful for his continued partnership and looks forward to presenting his honorary certificate in person.
The Institute extends its sincere appreciation to Will Bristol for his contributions to IAT students, programs, and the future of Michigan agriculture.
