Youngblood Vineyard is a 25-acre estate vineyard and winery in Metro Detroit, producing 100% estate-grown wines. In addition to our winery, we operate an onsite distillery and brewery, creating a rare, multi-faceted craft beverage environment with significant room for growth and innovation.

We are seeking a driven, hands-on professional to join our team in a leadership-track role spanning vineyard management, winemaking, and production support across wine, spirits, and beer. This is an opportunity for someone who wants more than a traditional cellar role and is ready to grow with a business that is expanding quickly and pushing boundaries in the region.

Vineyard Operations:

-Assist with all aspects of vineyard management including pruning, training, canopy management, spraying, and harvest preparation

-Maintain and repair vineyard infrastructure including trellis systems, wires, and posts

-Support new plantings and vineyard expansion efforts

-Ability to obtain and maintain pesticide applicator license

Winemaking & Production:

-Assist with all stages of winemaking from harvest through bottling

-Coordinate and execute harvest logistics including fruit sampling, pick decisions, and crush operations

-Perform fermentation management, racking, filtration, and blending trials

-Conduct laboratory analysis and maintain quality control standards

-Coordinate bottling, labeling, and inventory management

-Maintain detailed production and compliance records

-Multi-Beverage Production Support

Support:

-Support operations within our onsite distillery and brewery as needed

-Assist with production planning and execution across wine, spirits, and beer programs

-Contribute to product development and innovation initiatives

Operations & Compliance

-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment

-Stay current on all regulatory and compliance requirements (TTB and state)

-Assist with formula and label approvals

-Manage supply inventory and assist with purchasing decisions

-Help maintain and troubleshoot production equipment

Brand & Guest Experience:

-Represent Youngblood Vineyard in a professional and welcoming manner

-Assist with production tours, educational experiences, and occasional guest interaction

-Support brand growth through collaboration with the team on new ideas and initiatives

Qualifications:

-2+ years of vineyard and/or winemaking experience

-Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to think critically and solve problems

-Comfortable working long hours during harvest and peak production

-Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and working in both indoor and outdoor environments

-Interested in expanding beyond wine into spirits and beer production

-Thrives in a small team where flexibility and ownership matter

(Degree in Enology, Viticulture, or related field preferred but not required)
