Course Description

The application of geographic information systems (GIS) to integrated planning and management of forests and natural resources. The laboratory exercises along with associated lectures will help students develop an understanding of GIS concepts and application.

 

Course Objectives

Specific objectives are to: 1) develop the conceptual and practical understanding of GIS needed to solve geographical problems, 2) apply the concepts of GIS and related advanced technologies to natural resource management.

 

Course Delivery

This course has two delivery options: asynchronous online, or hybrid including both in-person and online components.
